Overview

VAExpressLoans.com (the "Site") is an independent educational website about VA home loans operated by Matthew Brown, Sr. Loan Originator / Mortgage Broker, NMLS #1254520. The Site is not affiliated with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. This Privacy Policy describes how information is collected and used when you visit the Site or contact Matthew through it. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or submit information through it.

This policy applies only to this Site. It does not apply to other websites linked from the Site, including loan application portals and scheduling tools, which have their own privacy policies.

Information collected through the contact form

When you submit the contact form, the Site collects the information you choose to provide, which may include:

  • Your name
  • Your phone number
  • Your email address
  • The state where the property is located
  • Your goal (for example, buying with your VA benefit, refinancing, or checking eligibility)
  • Any additional details you type into the message field
  • The page of the Site from which you submitted the form

Form submissions are processed by Formspree, a third-party form-handling service, and delivered by email to Matthew Brown only. Formspree processes the data under its own privacy policy and terms. Your information is not sold, rented, or passed to lead lists or other loan officers. It is used to respond to your inquiry, discuss your VA loan questions, and follow up by phone, text, or email about your request.

If you call, text, email, or schedule a consultation, the information you share is used in the same way — to respond to you and help with your financing questions.

Express Check self-check tools

Some pages include Express Check tools — short yes / no / not sure questionnaires. These tools run entirely in your web browser. Your individual answers are not stored on the Site or sent anywhere, and they disappear when you leave or reload the page.

When you finish a self-check, the result heading may be pre-filled into the message field of the contact form on that page for convenience. It is sent only if you choose to submit the form, and you can edit or delete it first. If analytics are enabled, the Site may record that a self-check was completed and its general result category, but not your answers.

Please don't submit sensitive information

Do not submit Social Security numbers, bank or credit card account numbers, dates of birth, full service records, or medical or disability documentation through the contact form, by text, or by regular email. If you decide to apply for a loan, you'll be directed to a secure application where required information can be provided appropriately.

Analytics and cookies

The Site may use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site — for example, which pages are viewed, how visitors arrive, general location at the city or region level, device and browser type, and clicks on links such as phone, email, scheduling, and pre-approval links. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies, and the data is processed by Google under its own policies.

This information is used in aggregate to improve the Site's content and usefulness. It is not used to identify you personally.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Blocking cookies will not prevent you from reading the Site.

The Site links to third-party websites and services, including the online pre-approval application at plus.preapp1003.com, Calendly for scheduling, Matt.Mortgage (Matthew Brown's main website), government resources such as VA.gov and NMLS Consumer Access, and related educational sites. Information you provide on those sites is governed by their own privacy policies and terms, not this policy. Loan applications are also subject to the privacy notices required by law and provided by the mortgage company handling your application.

Personal information collected through the Site is not sold. It may be shared only as needed to respond to you and provide the services you request — for example, with service providers that operate the Site's form handling and analytics, or with the mortgage company through which a loan application is processed if you choose to apply. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, regulation, or subpoena, or to protect rights, safety, or property.

Security, children's privacy, and changes

Security. Reasonable measures are used to protect information submitted through the Site, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, so absolute security can't be promised.

Children's privacy. The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. Information from children under 13 is not knowingly collected. If you believe a child has submitted information, please make contact using the details below so it can be deleted.

Your choices. You may ask to have your contact information updated or deleted, or ask not to receive follow-up communications, by using the contact details below. Some records may need to be retained where required by law.

Changes to this policy. This policy may be updated from time to time. Changes take effect when posted, and the "Last updated" date at the top of the page will be revised.
